Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Hospital Internal Medicine unit (JO3A/B). The RN coordinates nursing care, provides patient/family education, and supports transitions of care for medically complex inpatients on HIM services.

The role requires graduation from an ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA accredited program, RN licensure, and at least one year of RN or LPN experience at Mayo Clinic. BCLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• One year RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of current LPN experience at Mayo Clinic preferred.
• All entry-level associate degree RNs with RN start date after Apr 1, 2020 must provide evidence of-baccalaureate degree within five years from RN start date.
• Evidence of program completion of the baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited program as stipulated by the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care and direct patient care.
• Provide patient/family education and transitions of care.
• Demonstrate leadership through formal/informal roles and quality improvement efforts.
