Job summary

AdventHealth seeks a Registered Nurse in Florida to join our acute care team. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families on health conditions and treatments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Registered Nurse license required (RN).
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 1+ year in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with regular evaluation and revision.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately per physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff and departments to optimize patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain timely documentation in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plans and adjust interventions to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to care team members.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
