Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical Telemetry unit on the 9th floor in Tacoma, WA. You will deliver compassionate, high-quality care, perform skilled procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery.

Requirements include Graduation from an accredited nursing program, WA RN license, and BLS/CPR. BSN preferred with 1 year acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and critical thinking to develop care plans.
• Execute skilled procedures and monitor outcomes in a Medical Surgical Telemetry setting.
• Implement and document individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications per physician order and hospital policy; document accurately.

• Adheres to the department’s and hospital’s policies and procedures, including safety, risk management and regulatory standards. Keeps abreast of trends, developments and regulatory requirements impacting matters within designated scope of responsibility.
• Administers, oversees and documents the administration of medications (e.g., topically, orally, intramuscularly, subcutaneously and intravenously) as ordered by the healthcare practitioner and in accordance with hospital policy.
