Job summary

Cherry County Hospital & Clinic in Valentine, Nebraska is seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our rural nursing team. You will provide comprehensive medical-surgical and OB/GYN nursing care in a supportive, community-focused hospital.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, and educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Nebraska RN license.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Commitment to teamwork, compassionate care, and professional growth.
• OB experience is preferred for nurses working in Women's Health but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for medical/surgical and OB/GYN patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Care for patients throughout the continuum of care, including labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care (as assigned).
• Perform fetal monitoring and OB assessments when working in Women's Health.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health promotion.
• Respond effectively to changes in patient condition while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
