Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's St. Anthony North Hospital in Westminster, Colorado is seeking a Registered Nurse to promote optimal patient health, safety, and compassionate care. You will lead with the nursing process, collaborate with the healthcare team, and ensure quality outcomes in a Magnet-designated facility.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, RN license in Colorado, BLS, and NIHSS within 6 months. Preferred Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing; RN License in state of employment; Basic Life Support (BLS).
• NIHSS certification within 6 months of hire or internal transfer.
• Physical requirements: Medium work, lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, up to 10 lbs constantly.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records and data.
• Evaluate patient’s response and intervene to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Develop and implement patient plan of care with interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in therapeutic/diagnostic interventions (IVs, wound care, meds, catheterization, specimen collection).
• Maintain patient charts and records confidentially.
• Document ongoing status, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.

• Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including, but not limited to, IV’s, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
• Thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.
• Document ongoing status, interventions, patient response and outcomes in an accurate, timely manner.

The 5 West Medical Surgical Department at St. Anthony North Hospital, an achieved Magnet® Hospital, is a dynamic 30-bed unit that cares for a diverse population of medical-surgical, cardiac, and neurological patients. Common diagnoses include chronic disease exacerbations such as diabetes, heart failure, and COPD, acute conditions like infections and gastrointestinal disorders, and pre-and post-operative care for orthopedic, abdominal, and general surgeries. 5 West appeals to anyone interested in broadening their skillset as we receive overflow from anywhere in the hospital, provided they meet unit criteria.

Pay Range

$36.51 - $59.00 /hour
