As our Medical/Surgical 2 South Nurse, you will deliver comprehensive nursing care and lead patient-centered care initiatives with a focus on quality and safety.

You will assess patient needs, develop and evaluate nursing plans, and provide clinical care across all ages. A strong emphasis on advocacy, leadership, and continuous improvement is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the State of California.
• BLS certification - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient/family health needs and develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans.
• Provide technical nursing care to diverse age groups from neonatal to geriatric.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical/Surgical 2 South Nurse, you will be a compassionate and pivotal healthcare professional, delivering comprehensive nursing care and leading patient-centered care initiatives.

Every day, you will expertly assess patient/family health needs, leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans, and providing technical nursing care to diverse age populations (neonatal to geriatric) with developmental understanding. You'll actively uphold our Organization's Mission, Core Values, and support strategic and Performance Improvement plans.

To be successful in this role, you will possess strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, leadership, and communication skills, with an unwavering commitment to patient advocacy and continuous quality improvement.

• Assures that the rights of the patient/family are respected and maintained.


• Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care.


• Identifies self by name and title to patient/family.


• Determines presence/type of Advanced Directive.


• Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified.


• Understands role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California


• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association

Preferred

• Bachelors degree in health related field


• One year recent acute care experience
