Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Medical Stepdown for night shift, full-time, 36 hours per week. You will deliver patient care using the nursing process, maintain patient rights and confidentiality, and collaborate with other departments to coordinate care.

Active Missouri RN license or compact licensure and BLS certification required or within 30 days of hire. Prior hospital experience preferred; BSN encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with Missouri RN licensure (or compact licensure).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• Hospital experience preferred depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintains professional accountability for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information and performs duties consistent with Mercy standards.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective care delivery.
