Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical Psychiatry department.

This full-time role (36 hours/week) offers Day schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with every third weekend and holiday rotations. Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients, perform comprehensive assessments, and collaborate with the treatment team to plan and adjust goals.

Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license required prior to start.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• Psychiatric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients.
• Perform initial and ongoing biopsychosocial assessments and develop a nursing plan of care.
• Co-lead or lead group therapy sessions for patients as assigned.
• Evaluate patient responses and revise nursing plans with the treatment team.
