Job summary

Valleywise Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Medical Oncology Ortho. As an Advanced Clinical Nurse, you will bridge complex medical strategy with bedside care, reporting to the Nurse Manager or Executive Director of Nursing (Ambulatory).

You will lead in delivering sophisticated, age-appropriate care. The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and at least 1 year of acute care RN experience, with an AZ RN license, BLS, and ACLS within hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• 1 year of recent acute care hospital RN experience required (or Valleywise Health RN program graduates with 1 year of Valleywise Health RN experience).
• Current AZ RN license, a temporary AZ RN license, or a valid compact AZ license for the state of practice.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 12 months of hire/transfer; ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Card within 12 months of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized care plans from assessments and medication management.
• Educate and advocate for patients and families, ensuring informed and engaged care.
• Mentor and provide indirect supervision to ancillary staff, promoting safety and excellence.
• Participate in quality improvement and leadership initiatives to improve care and reduce costs.
