Allegheny Health Network's West Penn Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the E8 Medical/Telemetry unit. The unit handles medical and telemetry patients including heart failure, strokes, sepsis, and pulmonary edema, on a Magnet-recognized campus offering private rooms and extensive benefits.

The RN provides leadership, plans and evaluates nursing care, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN license or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• Minimum: one year general RN experience.
• 1 year inpatient medical telemetry RN experience.
• Certification in area of specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in a professional practice setting and supports team development.
• Assesses patient conditions, plans, and evaluates nursing care.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Promotes patient safety initiatives and quality improvement activities.
• Mentors and evaluates staff performance and adherence to standards.
