Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Med Surg / Medical 7W on a PRN schedule at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO. The unit cares for adults with common diagnoses and emphasizes cardiac rhythm interpretation, acute medical care, and fast-paced patient management.
Qualifications include an accredited nursing degree (ADN/ Diploma/ BSN), MO RN license or compact licensure, BLS certification, and hospital experience preferred. Physical requirements apply.
Overview:
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Schedule: PRN
Medical 7W cares for adult patients with common diagnoses including cellulitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, chest pain, gastrointestinal issues, COPD exacerbations, and medically stable COVID patients. This unit helps build strong skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, acute medical care, and fast-paced patient management.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:
Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.
Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.
