Job summary

Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, MO, part of Saint Luke’s Health System, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Medical/Surgical Orthopedics team on the night shift. The role focuses on orthopedic care with overflow from general surgery and medical patients, offering a fast-paced environment to advance clinical skills.

The position is Part Time, Night shift (two 12-hour shifts weekly) and requires BLS and an active RN license.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with current American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Ability to work nights and adapt to a busy orthopedics unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to coordinate care for a group of patients.
• Delegate tasks to licensed staff and supervise support personnel.
• Collaborate with the health care team to optimize patient outcomes.

Job Description Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, MO is seeking an experienced Nurse to join the Medical Surgical - Ortho team. This position will allow you to work with primarily orthopedic patients, but this team does take overflow from general surgery, as well as medical patients. This is a passionate team with various experience, skills and backgrounds. This is a busy, fast-paced unit that will allow you to master your skills with a nationally recognized team who has received their Advanced Certification for Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement. They are a leader in quality measures, celebrates their successes, and recognizes hard work. The Work: Part Time - Night Shift (2, 12 hour shifts weekly) Utilizes the nursing process. Performs patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures We are looking for patient centered nurses who are committed to providing a high quality of care.
