James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Johnson City, TN, seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care within an interdisciplinary team.

The RN will supervise licensed nursing staff, contribute to education and competency development, and participate in care planning to meet veteran needs. The position requires current RN licensure, English proficiency, and BLS certification with potential for leadership in clinical practice and quality improvement

Qualifications

English proficiency required for patient care and documentation.
Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by accrediting bodies (ACEN/CCNE).
Current, full, active RN license in a U.S. State or territory (or eligible for licensure transfer).
Bridge program path may allow state licensure prior to completion.
Foreign-educated nurses require degree evaluation and licensure eligibility.

Responsibilities

Provide competent, evidence-based nursing care to assigned patients.
Oversee nursing staff and assist in education, orientation, and competency assessments.
Lead initiatives to improve holistic patient care and outcomes.
Participate in interdisciplinary teams and care planning.
Maintain safety and quality through adherence to VA policies and evidence-based practice.
