Job summary

Cache Valley Hospital, a growing part of the HCA Healthcare network, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical–Surgical Unit. You will provide direct patient care and develop individualized care plans with input from patients and families.

You will collaborate with physicians and the care team, participate in education, and support ongoing clinical improvements. The position offers opportunities for mentorship and career advancement within a nationwide transfer policy.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Utah
• Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent
• 1 year RN experience preferred
• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and planning for individualized patient care.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition.
• Develop and implement patient care plans with patient/family, considering age and cultural differences.
• Communicate with physicians about patient conditions and diagnostic results.
• Perform nursing duties across the continuum of care.
• Participate in department process improvement activities.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a highly-skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse in the Medical – Surgical Unit you will provide direct patient care. You will work to provide patients with an individualized care plan through assessment and planning. Our team supports each other like family and we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

In this role:

• You will provide assessment and planning for individualized patient care.
• You will respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• You will provide care for the patient in collaboration with the patient/family, with regard to developmental, cultural and age specific differences, develops and implements patient care plans to include problems, goals, evaluations and interventions.
• You will communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient’s clinical condition and results of diagnostic studies.
• You will perform nursing duties as needed in the continuum of care for all patients.
• You will participate in process improvement efforts and activities for the department.
• You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure.

What qualifications you will need:

• Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree
• 1 year RN experience
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
