Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Lakeway, TX is hiring a Registered Nurse for the General Medical Surgical Unit. The role is full-time 36 hours/week with night shifts (7pm–7am) and a 5:1 patient ratio across 40 beds.

You will assess patients, develop care plans, educate families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. The campus offers growth opportunities, flexible scheduling, and tuition reimbursement in a fast-paced, STEMI/Stroke certified environment.

Qualifikationen

• RN license required or eligible in Texas.
• Grad of an Accredited Nursing Program.
• BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of start.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage patient care independently under Texas Nursing Practice Act.

Department: General Medical Surgical Unit, Cardiac, Pulmonology, GI, Urology, General Surgery, some Post Op, Stroke, Dementia, Infectious Disease

Status: Full Time, 36 hrs. per week

Shift: Night Shift, (7pm-7am- self-scheduling with rotating weekends)

40 Beds

Patient Ratio: 5:1

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse, oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Secure patient travel. Know about patient needs in healthcare. Help patients and prevent issues. Follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies.
