Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) is seeking a Float Pool Nurse to deliver patient-centered care across multiple units in our 772-bed hospital, ensuring continuity and high-quality outcomes.

You’ll work across Angie Deeb Cancer/Oncology Center, Cardiac Progressive Care, ICU and Medical units, collaborating with the nursing team to apply the nursing process and maintain a safe, compassionate environment.

Required: Associates in Nursing, Florida RN license, and BLS/CPR.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• One year RN experience required; two+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care across multiple units in a 772-bed hospital.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and apply nursing process.
• Lead and mentor other healthcare team members.
• Coordinate and delegate care in a safe, secure environment.
• Respect patient rights, dignity, confidentiality.
• Use evidence-based practice and health IT to relieve pain and anxiety.
• Follow Florida Nurse Practice Act and TMH policies.

• Neurology/Neurosurgery Unit
• Orthopedic/Trauma Center Unit
• Postoperative Care Unit

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

• Associates in Nursing

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Required Experience:

• One (1) experience as Registered Nurse

Preferred Experience:

• Two (2) or more years of RN experience

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Licensed as an RN in accordance with Florida’s Nurse Practice Act.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an accredited American Heart Association (AHA) instructor.
• Other specialized life support requirements designated by work area.
