Job summary

Cogdell Memorial Hospital in Snyder, TX is seeking a registered nurse to provide professional care upon doctors’ request and perform initial assessments. You will reassess patients, identify progress, and set priorities based on age and condition.

GENERAL

Position Overview

Provide professional nursing care to individuals upon doctors’ request.
Obtains and records initial assessment and establishes priorities according
to patient age, symptoms and psychosocial needs. Re-assesses patients systematically to identify progress and trends that require intervention. Develops and implements a measurable individualized plan of care for the patient within the time frame established by Nursing Standards of Care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Graduate from an accredited Registered school ofnursing.

Experience

Previous experience in medical surgical nursing preferred.

Knowledge Of

Knowledge of medications and pharmacology at a level appropriate to the
scope of licensure and professional expertise; general practice medicine
and medical terminology; standard diagnostic and medical equipment and
instruments; basic computer skills.

Licenses / Certifications / Registries

Current RN licensure from the State Board of Nurse Examiners by the
State of Texas with renewal as required by law; current BCLS certification.
