Job summary

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Illinois.
• BSN preferred or required by facility.

Responsibilities

• Plans, provides, supervises, and documents professional nursing care using the nursing process.
• Communicates with the healthcare team to develop and implement plans of care.
• Charts patient observations in the electronic health record.
• Delivers safe, compassionate nursing care with ethical standards.
• Guides assigned unlicensed personnel in patient care delivery.
• Assesses changes in patient condition and reports to the physician.
• Performs interventions per priorities, care plan, and hospital policies.
• Participates in QA/PI initiatives to improve patient safety and outcomes.
• Educates patients/families prior to discharge on diagnosis, meds, and instructions.
• Collects blood specimens for laboratory analysis as needed.
