Job summary

Atlas MedStaff is seeking an experienced MS RN for a 13-week travel assignment on a busy medical-surgical unit in Evansville, IN. The role offers 12-hour daytime shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week and potential to work up to 48.

You’ll care for post-surgical patients and those with UTI, sepsis, COPD, CHF, and high fall risk, handling chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, Foley catheters, ostomies, heparin drips, blood products, and tracheostomies while floating between two

Qualifications

• RN license required to practice as a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical-surgical care on a 41-bed unit for post-surgical patients.
• Manage UTI, sepsis, COPD, CHF, and high fall risk cases.
• Handle chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, Foley, ostomies, Heparin drips, blood products, and tracheostomies.
• Float first within your skillset across two campuses with occasional mid-shift cross-campus float.

You’ll be supporting a unit with 41 beds, primarily caring for post-surgical patients, those with UTI, sepsis, COPD, CHF, and high fall risk. The work involves managing chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, straight catheters, Foleys, ostomies, Heparin drips, blood products, and tracheostomies, all requiring strong assessment and critical thinking skills. The assignment includes being the first to float within your skillset across two nearby campuses, with occasional cross-campus mid-shift float.
