We are hiring an RN at Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, The Birthing Place, for weekend shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Mary and Elizabeth - UMC.

Location: 1850 Bluegrass Ave, Louisville, KY 40215

Shift: Weekend Only

Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (Hospital-Based) provides nursing care to patients of various ages, utilizing the nursing process and standards. Responsibilities include assessing patient health, administering medications, planning and implementing care, patient education, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments from admission to discharge.
  • Administer medications and evaluate effects, adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Develop individualized care plans with patients and families.
  • Implement nursing interventions to meet patient needs.
  • Evaluate care outcomes and revise plans as needed.
  • Advocate for patients and prepare them for discharge.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members, including delegation to unlicensed assistive personnel.

Additional Duties: Demonstrate professional conduct, orient new staff, participate in evidence-based practices, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Shift Details: Typically 8-12 hours, with some flexibility. Overtime may be required occasionally.
