Description:Seeking a skilled long-term care registered nurse for an upcoming assignment.Previous travel nursing experience is required.Candidates must possess an active Alaska license.This position offers flexibility with shift options, including 4x12-hour or 3x12-hour shifts, depending on the needs of the facility.Staffing will be determined based on facility requirements, and caregivers are generally assigned to either days or nights without rotating shifts.The duration of the assignment is 26 weeks, with the option for shorter terms available.Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:20.All caregivers will need to obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification, which can be completed onsite during orientation.There is a nominal fee for certification.Candidates will be expected to float within scope to meet facility needs.Flexibility regarding holiday availability is essential, as travelers must be willing to work at least two of the three major winter holidays.A one-time certification fee will apply for the food worker course.This role involves providing care to adults and geriatrics with a variety of health conditions, including dementia and cognitive impairments.Candidates should have experience with specific skills such as wound care, IV hydration, and respiratory treatments.Travelers may be required to float between nearby facilities as necessary.Communication devices needed for the role will be provided.Travelers should be prepared to adhere to the job schedule, including any requested time off requirements.
