Job summary

Haymarket Center in Chicago seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care within our addictions and behavioral health program. You will work under supervision, perform health screenings, document care, and coordinate with the treatment team to support recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, unencumbered LPN or RN license in Illinois.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Must relate information about patients' medical and psycho-social conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under supervision per physician orders and care plans.
• Perform initial health screenings and assess medical needs of clients.
• Chart vital signs, treatments, and medications; maintain records.
• Monitor self-administration of medications and reactions.
• Supervise medical care provided by other staff when required.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect patient rights per legal requirements.
• Participate in staff education and unit objectives; support emergency measures.
