Job summary

GetaFluShot is seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to support mobile immunization clinics across Portland and the Pacific Northwest. The role involves pre-vaccination assessments, post-vaccination counseling, and vaccine administration at client sites such as workplaces and community facilities.

Ideal candidates hold an RN or LPN license with knowledge of vaccine protocols, injections, and adverse reaction reporting.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license (RN or LPN).
• Knowledge of vaccine administration, dosage, indications, precautions, contraindications and adverse reactions.
• Experience or training in intramuscular and subcutaneous injections is helpful.
• Ability to obtain informed consent and complete documentation.
• Dispos e of bio-hazardous waste and maintain universal precautions.
• Knowledge of vaccine reporting procedures and adverse event reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform health assessments prior to vaccine administration.
• Counsel patients on after-vaccination signs and symptoms of reactions.
• Administer Covid vaccines to employees at client sites.
• Complete vaccine forms and track vaccine usage.

About the Job:

GetaFluShot is looking to hire a Registered Nurse or licensed Practical Nurse for mobile immunization clinics throughout Portland and the surrounding area and the Pacific Northwest.

Responsibilities:

• Doing assessments before administering Covid/Flu vaccines.
• Counseling people on after-vaccination signs & symptoms of a reaction.
• Administering Covid vaccines to employees of client companies.
• Completing vaccine forms and vaccine usage.

Requirements:

• Current license.
• Knowledgeable and skilled in the dosage, administration, indications, precautions, contraindications and possible adverse reactions related to the vaccine being administered.(Training will be provided)
• Experience in intramuscular injection technique and subcutaneous injection techniques is helpful.
• Obtain informed consent; complete documentation.
• Dispose of bio-hazardous waste.
• Knowledge of Universal Precautions.
• Knowledge of protocols for adverse reactions and reporting of incidents and injuries.
• Reliable car a must.
