Job summary

Pikes Peak Post Acute is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Long-Term Care floor team. You will provide safe, compassionate nursing care, conduct resident assessments, and administer medications according to physician orders and Texas regulations.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Texas
• Experience in long-term care settings
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary team
• Strong communication and assessment skills

Responsibilities

• Resident assessment upon admission and ongoing monitoring
• Administer medications and treatments per Five Rights
• Provide skilled nursing care and wound/catheter care as ordered
• Document progress notes, assessments, and treatments
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans with the team
• Supervise LVNs/LPNs, CNAs and other staff as applicable
• Delegate tasks and ensure safe, effective resident care
• Respond to emergencies and changes in condition promptly
• Communicate with physicians, families, and pharmacy personnel
• Participate in rounds, care conferences, and discharge planning
• Maintain confidential medical records and ensure timely documentation
• Adhere to infection prevention, resident rights, and regulatory requirements
• Advocate for residents’ dignity, safety, and quality of life
