Job summary

Pioneers Medical Center in Meeker, Colorado seeks an experienced RN for long-term care. This full-time position offers a sign-on bonus and a competitive hourly wage, dependent on experience.

Reports to the Long Term Care Director and works in a standard clinical setting with exposure to sharps and bio/chemical agents. The role requires maintaining records, administering medications, implementing physician orders, and providing patient and family education.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, unencumbered Colorado RN license is required.
• Current BLS within six (6) months of transfer or hire.
• Knowledge of current nursing trends and practices, utilizing evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams to assess patient health needs and problems.
• Implement physicians' orders, such as performing treatments, administering medications, and interpreting tests.
• Review and maintain medical records.
• Administer direct care to injured, disabled, ill or convalescent patients.
• Document pertinent information and medication administration.
• Counsel patients and family members on disease prevention and health maintenance.
• Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
• Complete required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements.
• Assess patient health continuously and implement and develop nursing care plans.

Reports to: Long Term Care Director

FLSA Classification: Full-time, Non-exempt, Hourly $33.50-$45.00 depending on experience

The working environment is a normal clinical setting with exposure to sharps and biological and chemical agents. It is expected that facility safety practices and protocols are followed at all times.
