Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide individualized nursing care using the full nursing process across multiple locations within a 75-mile radius of permanent address. You will collaborate with residents, families, and an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate care in a dynamic rural health setting.

The role requires an RN license, a nursing degree, and prior long-term care exposure.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Unencumbered RN license with State Board of Nursing and multistate licensure if in NLC state.
  • Maintains required department competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized nursing care using the full nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
  • Coordinate care with residents, families and inter-disciplinary colleagues.
  • Serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed/unlicensed personnel as appropriate.
  • Ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and address care and service concerns.
  • Adhere to state practice acts, standards, and code of ethics for nurses.

Department Details
  • Travel required to support multiple locations within 75-mile radius of permanent address.
  • Premium Pay Rates:
    • $15/hour premium on all hours worked.
    • $1.25/hour weekend shift differential
    • $1.25/hour evening/night shift differential (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
Experience Requirements
  • 3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred)
Scheduling Requirements
  • Minimum of 30 hours per month
  • One weekend shift per month
Summary

  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
