Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide nursing care and leadership at the Delaware Valley Veterans' Home. You will guide daily care, coordinate communication, and ensure nursing practices meet professional standards in a long-term care setting.

The role requires active PA RN licensure, a path to licensure for temporary permits within one year, and a willingness to work 40 hours weekly with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• Must obtain PA RN license within one year if holding a temporary practice permit.
• PA residency waiver currently in effect for this title.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and leadership to residents in a long term care setting.
• Dispense medications, review records, and ensure proper procedures are followed by staff.
• Guide staff, assign tasks, and address concerns to maintain safe and effective care.
• Communicate important changes to supervisors, physicians, and families as needed.
• Follow safety rules, report hazards, and use required protective equipment.
• Maintain accurate records, complete assessments, and support audits and reviews.
