Job summary

AtlantiCare is seeking a Registered Nurse Certified Lactation Consultant to join our Perinatal Outreach team in New Jersey. You will provide evidence-based lactation care, counseling, and education to support mothers and their infants in achieving successful breastfeeding outcomes.

You will assess mother-infant dyads, develop care plans, collaborate with NICU staff, document care in the electronic health record, and stay current with lactation research and best practices.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NJ license and IBCLC certification.
• Minimum 2 years lactation experience, NICU experience preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide lactation support and counseling to mothers and infants.
• Educate parents on breastfeeding techniques and positions.
• Coordinate with NICU and healthcare team for integrated care.
• Develop individualized care plans based on assessments.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate lactation documentation in the medical record.
• Engage in quality improvement and professional development.
