Responsibilities

• Provide direct RN labor and delivery care to patients during admissions and births.
• Monitor maternal/fetal status and respond to abnormalities per protocol.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with obstetric team to plan and execute delivery procedures.
• Document all clinical actions accurately in electronic medical records.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and track performance metrics.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Utilize data and pipelines to forecast staffing needs and workload in L&D.

Experience/Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in New Mexico with obstetric acute care experience.
• Active CPR/ACLS certification and ability to perform neonatal resuscitation per protocol.
• Proven ability to monitor maternal-fetal status and respond to abnormalities promptly.
• Experience in labor and delivery procedures, including instrumentation and cesarean coordination.
• Strong documentation skills in electronic medical records with attention to accuracy.
• Knowledge of infection control, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to forecast staffing/workload using data pipelines and BI dashboards.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and outcome tracking.
