UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking a full-time Neonatal Nurse to assist with newborn care during deliveries at Hinsdale, IL. The role requires acute nursing experience with neonatal and obstetric settings, and RN licensure.

The position involves resuscitation readiness, documentation, and collaboration with the Labor & Delivery team to ensure safe transfers and high-quality care for mothers and newborns.

Qualifications

• Associate's of Nursing is required.
• RN license (RN) required.
• Neonatal resuscitation skills encouraged.
• Good collaboration with obstetric team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with newborn care at deliveries and provide immediate care.
• Maintain neonatal resuscitation skills for emergencies.
• Identify and report maternal/newborn issues to physicians promptly.
• Assist with transfers of newborns to other facilities when needed.
• Accurately identify and document newborns, mothers and supports in records.
• Assist in Labor & Delivery operating suite during procedures.
• Provide intraoperative and post-anesthesia care per standards.
• Perform steam sterilization of instruments and supplies.
• Offer emotional support to grieving families and connect with support groups.
• Educate families about newborn care and post-discharge care.
