This travel contract offers an engaging opportunity in a Women’s Center department, where you will work 12-hour night shifts over a 13-week span. The role involves providing specialized care in OB triage, labor and delivery, postpartum recovery, and the well-newborn and nursery settings. You’ll utilize equipment like fetal monitors, computerized charting systems, and med dispensing cabinets. Prior experience interpreting fetal monitor strips and attending vaginal deliveries is essential. The schedule includes overnight weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday), with floating to general medical units as needed. Be prepared for a mix of hands‑on procedures such as newborn resuscitation and short‑term respiratory support, all within a team maintaining two OB‑trained staff members at all times. The unit has 12 beds, with a nurse‑to‑patient ratio of 1:2‑3 for mothers and babies. Orientation includes unit‑specific training, safety procedures, and equipment competency, typically completed over 2‑3 days.
