Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a registered nurse with Labor and Delivery expertise for Redwood City, CA.

This 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) and 36 hours per week role offers travel pay components in addition to base compensation. You will provide direct nursing care during labor, delivery, and postpartum, assist with deliveries and obstetric emergencies, administer medications, monitor mother and baby, educate families, and document patient care with the health team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field or Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided)
• Basic Life SupportAdvanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program
• Five (5) plus years of recent experience (must have occurred within the last two (2) years) in Labor and Delivery is preferred
• One (1) year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last two (2) years High Risk OB experience preferred
• Additional certifications may be required
• Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period, including monitoring maternal and fetal conditions.
• Assist physicians and healthcare providers with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, procedures, and management of obstetric emergencies.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered, while monitoring patient response and changes in condition.
• Provide immediate newborn care and monitoring following delivery, as needed.
• Educate and support patients and families regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery and newborn care.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, timely and quality patient care.

Travel Rate (based on 36 hours): Hrly $39.13 Stipend (Lodging $1,281.00 + M&I $602.00 = $1,883.00

Total Comp : $3,526.52

Travel Eligibility: Candidates must live at least 50+ miles from the facility to qualify for Travel Pay.
