Job summary

A leading healthcare staffing agency is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery nurse to join their dedicated team in Fullerton, CA. Responsibilities include conducting sterile vaginal exams, monitoring fetal heart rates, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team for optimal patient care. Candidates must have at least 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, hold a valid California RN license, and possess current ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, and NRP certifications. Job description

Join our dedicated Labor and Delivery team, where you will provide expert care to obstetrical patients. You will be responsible for conducting sterile vaginal examinations, triaging patients, and performing various clinical duties within the Labor and Delivery unit.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients independently.
• Monitor and assess fetal heart rate patterns using external and internal fetal monitoring.
• Administer medications and manage IVs, including various drips for obstetrical care.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, circulating for C-sections, and performing postpartum care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience (1.5 years considered based on expertise).
• Current ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, and NRP certifications are required.
• Must have experience with Epic charting system.
• Must have valid and active California RN license.
