St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City is seeking an Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse to join a team delivering high-quality patient care. You will support patients through procedures, coordinate pre- and post-procedure care, and collaborate with the radiology team to ensure safety and comfort.

This role requires Utah RN licensure with BLS/ACLS/PALS, IR or critical care experience preferred, and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. St.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Utah RN license with BLS, ACLS, and PALS per American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Ability to function independently and multi-task with strong prioritization.
• 2-3 years IR/critical care or radiology experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Advocates for patients and delivers nursing care during diagnostic/therapeutic radiology procedures.
• Prepares patients for procedures by checking vital signs, meds, NPO status, lab results, and medical history.
• Inserts/removes IV lines and administers conscious sedation and other drugs.
• Monitors patient vitals and condition during procedures.
• Ensures safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures.
• Performs post-procedure monitoring for complications and changes in vital signs.

The job duties of diagnostic and interventional radiology nurses include:

• Your role serves as a patient advocate and provides patient care through the development and implementation of ongoing systems and practices that promote and maintain quality nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Radiology Department.

• You will preparing patients for procedures: Includes checking and verifying vital signs, meds, NPO status, lab results, and medical history

• Your role involves inserting and removing intravenous lines, as well as administering conscious sedation drugs and other drugs

• You will monitoring patient patterns and vital signs during the procedure

• You will oversee the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after procedures

• Your role will provide post-procedure monitoring: Includes observing for signs and symptoms of complications, such as bleeding from the puncture site, pain, and/or changes in mental status or vital signs

Needed Qualifications:

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing

• Current Utah Registered Nurse License with current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

• Must be able to function independently, be multi-task oriented, and show excellent prioritizing skills

• Previous IR or 2-3 years of experience in a specialty unit (Critical Care, ED, PACU, or Radiology) required
