Job summary

Southcoast Health System is seeking experienced RNs as Internal Travelers for the Emergency Department at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA. The position offers a shift from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am with a competitive rate of $70 per hour.

Qualified candidates must have at least one year of Emergency Department experience, hold current RN licensure in Massachusetts, and possess BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Area Assignment: TOBEY Hospital – Wareham, MA*
Shift: NIGHT (7:00 pm–7:00 am)

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
• Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Eligible to work every other weekend and holiday or every weekend (must work 1 weekend shift per week and every other holiday, or all weekends).
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID‑19, or be exempt for medical or personal reasons (must sign a statement certifying exemption).
• Eligible candidates: not current Southcoast Health System employees; former employees must be separated for at least nine months.

Details

• 11‑13 week assignment, with option to extend if available.
• $70 per hour.
• Hours: 24 or 36 hours.
• May be asked to float to any Southcoast Hospital (Charlton Memorial‑Fall River, St. Luke’s‑New Bedford, Tobey–Wareham) during assignment.

Responsibilities

Under direction of the Manager, Patient Services or a designee, perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching, and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit. Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.
