Aurora Pavilion Behavioral Health Services, part of Aiken Regional Medical Centers, is seeking a Psychiatric Intake RN for full-time night shifts (7pm–7am). The role includes mental health assessments, coordinating admissions and referrals, and ensuring accurate documentation for seamless patient care.

Ideal candidates hold a nursing degree and have at least one year of mental health experience, with strong communication skills to interact with psychiatrists and care teams.

Psychiatric Intake RN - Full-time Nights, 7pm-7am

Admissions Clinician is responsible for conducting mental health assessments, communicating with psychiatrists in determining level of care needed, facilitating admissions and referrals to and from other agenciesand treatment centers,conducting pre-certifications and utilization reviews, and fostering positive relationships with all referral sources.The Clinician is required to have excellent verbal and written communication skills to assure accurate coordination of care.

Job Duties:

• - I nclude addressing needs of telephonic callers seeking assistance
• - Performing level of care mental health assessments
• - Documenting in the electronic medical record
• - Coordinating patient care with internal and external providers
• - Maintaining department records/statistics
• - Complete pre-certifications and utilization reviews as needed
• - Participate in patient safety activities
• - Receive and document physician orders as it pertains to admissions and/or patients in intake.
• - Provide appropriate medical treatment within the scope of practice for an RN.
• - Document and coordinate external transfers via MOT for patients experiencing a medical emergency in intake.
• - Indirect report by CNO.
• - Other duties as assigned
