Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care to hospitalized patients. You will assess needs, administer medications, perform treatments, and closely monitor conditions to support recovery and safe discharge planning.

You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to create comprehensive care plans and communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure smooth transitions home or to another setting.

Qualifications

• WA State RN license is required.
• 1+ year RN experience with acute care patients is required.
• CPR certification required every 2 years or as specified by the employer.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program approved by WA Board of Nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs, monitor conditions, and administer medications and treatments.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Inpatient Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, skilled nursing services to patients requiring hospitalization, guiding them toward optimal health and functional recovery.

Every day you will assess patient needs, administer medications, perform treatments, and continuously monitor patient conditions. You will collaborate seamlessly with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans, always preparing patients and their families for a successful discharge, whether to home or to another setting for continued care.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for every individual.

Job Requirements

Required

• Current WA State RN license
• One (1) or more years recent RN experience with acute care patients
• CPR certification is required every two (2) years or as specified by the work
• Other certifications may be required for specialty areas
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing

Preferred

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
