Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients. The role carries responsibility for delegating tasks to the healthcare team and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

Ideal candidates have an Associate’s degree in Nursing with 0-1 years of experience; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. NJ RN license is required, with a regular on-site shift across the facility.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years' experience required; 2-4 preferred.
• NJ RN License required.
• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs an assessment of the patient, leading to development, implementation and evaluation of a plan of care.
• Administers, monitors and documents therapeutic interventions and regimes.
• Participates in clinical decision-making.
• Educates patient and family regarding disease process, individual care needs, wellness, safety issues.
• Delegates and monitors care rendered by other members of nursing department and healthcare team.
• Participates in orientation, education and development of healthcare team.
• Identifies and participates in performance improvement activities.
• Maintains professional and departmental level competencies.
