Job summary

Qualifications

• Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse) is required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Competence in and a willingness and ability to practice modified primary nursing.

Responsibilities

• Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or the situation (Assessment).
• Analyzes the assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis).
• Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation.
• Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes (Plan of Care).
• Implements the identified plan of care.
• Promotes health and a safe environment.
• Enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice.
• Evaluates one’s own nursing practice in relation to standards and guidelines.
• Collaborates with patient, family and others in nursing practice.
• Integrates ethical provisions in practice and research findings.
• Provides leadership in the professional practice setting.
