Job summary

Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, SC seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program with RN licensure in the state, Basic Life Support, and facility-specific certifications as applicable, with BSN preferred for professional advancement.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary (Cert/Diploma/Program Grad) from an accredited school of nursing (Required) And
• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing (BSN) (Preferred)
• RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure in the state of practice Upon Hire (Required)
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire or within time frame (Required)
• ACLTS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire or within time frame (May be Required)
• NCI - Non-violent Crisis Intervention Upon Hire or within time frame (May be Required)

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given and monitors patient condition, communicates with care team, physician, patient and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and coordinates across disciplines for transfer, discharge, referral and psychosocial support.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient; participates in care planning and safety initiatives.

Job Summary

Essential Functions

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient and/or family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needed.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• Postsecondary (Cert/Diploma/Program Grad) from an accredited school of nursing (Required) And
• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing (BSN) (Preferred)

Licenses/Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the state of practice Upon Hire (Required)
• BCLS - Basic Life Support from American Heart Assoc. or other approved program Upon Hire or within facility-specified time frame (Required)
• ACLTS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support from American Heart Assoc. or other approved program Upon Hire or within facility-specified time frame (May be Required-Facility Specific)
• NCI -Non-violent Crisis Intervention Or Current Program Upon Hire or within facility-specified time frame (May be Required-Facility Specific)

Experience

• 6 months Medical/Surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting (Preferred) And
• Prior Experience with critical thinking, decision-making, and effective prioritization in a fast-paced environment (Preferred)
