Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Registered Nurse—Imaging to perform CT procedures and support patient care across all ages. You will operate CT equipment, verify images, and prepare the room with required supplies, ensuring high-quality diagnostic information.

The role involves initiating IVs, reviewing labs as needed, and completing history forms. GA RN licensure or eNLC is required, with ADN or BSN from an accredited program.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required or obtained within specified timelines.
• Current GA RN license or eNLC license required.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with an ADN or BSN.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic CT equipment, verify images and prepare the room with necessary supplies.
• Ensure high-quality CT scans provide accurate diagnostic information.
• Perform CT exams on a variety of body parts in a timely manner.
• Complete history forms and technologist exam sheet.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director. The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Doctors Hospital. The Registered Nurse in this department provides care for birth to pediatric, pediatric/child patients between 1 to 11 years of age; adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older.

What you will do in this role:

• You will operate diagnostic equipment, verify images and prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure.


• You will be responsible for ensuring that proper diagnostic information is provided through the production of high-quality CT scans.


• You will perform CT exams on a variety of different body parts in a timely manner.


• You will complete appropriate history forms and technologist exam sheet.


• You will start I.V.s and check labs as needed.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date


• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date


• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date


• Must hold a current GA RN license or eNLC license required.


• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with either an Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree


• Previous emergency, pre-hospital or critical care preferred
