Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas; BLS from AHA or Red Cross; other certificates as required.
• Three (3) years RN experience.
• One (1) year of clinical leadership that meets two of five criteria (preceptor, charge nurse, certification, mentor, CoP chair, QI Champion).
• Designated professional nursing certification for specialty.

Responsibilities

• Independently and safely manages patients with problems common to assigned clinical area.
• Applies standards, principles, and algorithms to clinical situations.
• Provides clinical leadership within nursing service.
