Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
• Twelve months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment.
• RN licensure in Texas with PSV Compact, must obtain permanent license within 60 days.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to a diverse patient population and perform nursing assessments.
• Assist with exams, treatment and maintenance of medical records; educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional team to coordinate care and ensure quality outcomes.
• Demonstrate leadership through unit activities, potential charge nurse or preceptor roles.
