Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care in Labor & Delivery, using the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate care. You will lead other team members, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure patient-family centered care while maintaining safety, privacy and professional standards.

Requirements include RN licensure, BSN preferred, 1 year RN experience and BLS certification; the role

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred; RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain BSN within four years of hire or reclassification.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Direct and lead other assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
