Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, invites an Operating Room RN to join our Houston team. You will deliver high-quality age-specific patient care, collaborate with ASC and Clinic staff, and communicate clearly with physicians, anesthesia, management, and families.

Required qualifications include ASN or higher, Texas RN license, BLS, and 2+ years OR experience, with a single service line preference. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality age-specific patient care.
• Develop effective working relationships with ASC and Clinic staff.
• Communicate patient information to physicians, anesthesia, management, staff, patients, families and visitors.
• Perform safe and competent operative nursing care per policy and procedures.
• Follow AORN/ASPAN standards for operating room nursing.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a proficiency in delivering high quality age specific patient care
• Develop effective working relationships with all members of the ASC and Clinic
• Communicate information effectively, appropriately, and with courtesy regarding patient conditions to those who require the information including, physicians, anesthesia, management, staff, patients, families, and visitors
• Perform safe and competent operative nursing care according to the organization's policy & procedures
• Perform safe and competent operating room nursing care according to the organization's policy & procedures & AORN (Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses) standards and or ASPAN (American Society of Peri Anesthesia Nursing) standards

Required Qualifications:

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or higher
• Texas RN license
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• RN experience in Pre-Op, Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), Emergency Room (ER), Infusion Therapy, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) or hospital setting

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $29 - $52 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
