Job summary

The University of Rochester is seeking a Level II Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Nurse Manager. This full-time role supports unit activities and enhances the care delivery system within the Acute Care Elders-Nursing department.

Ideal candidates hold a nursing degree and NY RN licensure, with 6–12 months RN experience. The unit emphasizes teamwork with physicians, social workers, PT & OT and other professionals to deliver patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Requires a Diploma, Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program.
• Active New York State RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 6–12 months of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent direct patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
• Contribute to unit activities and support enhancements to the care delivery system.
• Assist peers in delivering patient care; may serve as charge nurse, preceptor, or committee member.
• Schedule full-time hours, including day/evening/night shifts, holidays and weekends.
• Care for a range of adult patients; collaborate with physicians, social workers, PT & OT and the care team.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for learning and teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment.
