Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – College Station. You will oversee patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity ICU, performing assessments, creating care plans, and coordinating with the healthcare team.

This role requires an RN license and BLS certification, with self-scheduling and 36 hours per week (night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM).

Qualifications

• BLS certification or eligible within 30 days of start.

Department: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Location: Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - College Station

Shift: Full-Time Nights | 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours: 36 hours per week

Scheduling: Self-scheduling

Patient Population: Critically ill adult patients requiring intensive monitoring and complex nursing care, including patients with medical, surgical, cardiac, respiratory, and other critical conditions.

As an RN in the ICU, you will provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. You will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and other members of the healthcare team to assess changes in patient condition, manage complex care needs, and provide timely interventions.

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse, oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Secure patient travel. Know about patient needs in healthcare. Help patients and prevent issues. Follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies.

• As an RN, conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs. Create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes.

• A deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards, as well as procedures.
