Job summary

Bitterroot Health in Hamilton, MT, is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit on a PRN basis. You will provide specialized nursing care to patients across ages and acuities, document in the EMR, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires ACLS/PALS, Montana licensure, and a BSN or ADN, with ECCO training within one year. ICU experience is preferred, and you will join a team focused on patient safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must read and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer skills required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
• ECCO completion within one year of hire.
• Minimum of one year of recent acute care nursing experience; ICU experience preferred.

Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill a Registered Nurse position in our Intensive Care Unit. Provide professional nursing care to patients with various acuity across the age spectrum. Evaluates the nursing process and documents findings in the EMR. Directs patient care activities, collaborates with ancillary staff and communicates with providers and co-workers regarding patient conditions. Participates in quality and performance improvement projects.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing BSN or ADN, current Montana or compact license per Montana Board of Nursing Regulations. License in good standing without disciplinary action or investigation.
• Licensure and Certifications: ACLS and PALS required, Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) within one year of hire.
• Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, and basic computer skills required.
• Experience: minimum of one year of recent acute care nursing experience, critical care nursing experience preferred or ICU RN Residency Program.

Schedule: PRN, as needed
