Job summary

CommonSpirit Mountain Region in Utah seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with the healthcare team and patient/family to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, advancing compassionate care through the nursing process.

Qualifications

  • Assessments of patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs with documentation of outcomes.
  • Implementation of patient plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Proficient in therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including IVs, wound care, medications, catheterization, and specimen collection.
  • Confidential maintenance of patient charts and records with accurate and timely documentation.
  • Advocacy for patient health, safety, and rights, with patient/family education delivered to assess learning needs and evaluate learning.

  • Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including, but not limited to, IV's, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
  • Thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records. Document ongoing status, interventions, patient response and outcomes in an accurate, timely manner.
  • Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect the health and safety and rights of each patient.
  • Provide patient/family education through assessment of patient/family learning readiness, needs, and ability.

As our RN, you will assume responsibility for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team and patient/family to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient, advancing modern nursing through compassionate care. Every day you will promote optimal patient health, well-being, and safety through the nursing process, adhering to patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act, and demonstrating personal accountability for relationship-based care and our organizational mission. To be successful in this role, you will be a Registered Nurse with a commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care, strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to apply the nursing process effectively within a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Job Requirements
Required
  • Associates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
  • RN License in state of employment
  • Physical Requirements: Medium Work exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. constantly
Preferred
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing
  • One (1) year experience

Holy Cross Hospital - Jordan Valley invites skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses to become part of our 14-bed Intensive Care Unit. In this role, you will provide life-saving care to acutely ill patients, supported by nurse-to-patient ratios of 3:1, 2:1, or 1:1 based on acuity across day and night shifts. This position offers a strong opportunity to expand your critical care expertise within a collaborative, team-focused environment alongside experienced physicians and advanced practice providers.

Our ICU is a fast-paced, high-acuity environment where nurses provide advanced care for complex conditions, including:

  • Post-operative complications
  • Severe respiratory failure (e.g., ARDS, ventilator management)
  • Septic shock and multi-organ failure
  • Neurological emergencies (stroke, traumatic brain injury)
  • Cardiac emergencies (cardiogenic shock, post-resuscitation care)
  • DKA and HHS
  • Renal failure requiring CRRT
  • Advanced hemodynamic monitoring and vasoactive drips
Pay Range

$32.01 - $48.43 /hour
