Job Description
The Registered Nurse-Intensive Care Unit is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in a high-acuity Neuro ICU setting.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
- Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques.
- Collect and analyze patient health data to identify problems and develop individualized plans of care.
- Implement interventions and evaluate patient progress toward attainment of expected outcomes.
- Assist with discharge planning and provide education to patients and significant others about illness and injury prevention.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information and perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Two years of experience preferred.
- Must be BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certified.
- Valid Oklahoma or Compact RN license required at the time of submission.
- Experience with EVD management, ventilator management, and stroke management.
- Charting experience with Epic is preferred.
